FUDDIEZ

Few bands embody underground mythology quite like The Fuddiez. A staple of Melbourne’s alternative scene, their legacy is equal parts prolific and elusive—having released nine albums, only for seven to be deliberately erased by the artists themselves. This self-imposed disappearance has only fueled their cult status, with die-hard fans wishing they could trade bootleg recordings like sacred relics.

At the heart of the chaos is lead guitarist Arwin Kraze, a figure as enigmatic as the band itself. When not shredding with The Fuddiez, Kraze commands the screen in his YouTube Tonight Show, The Arwin Kraze Show, a surreal, genre-bending talk show that blurs the line between comedy, satire, and performance art.

Despite their history of self-sabotage, The Fuddiez’ impact on Melbourne’s music scene remains undeniable. With whispers of a possible return—or another abrupt disappearance—fans are left wondering if album number ten will be their magnum opus or just another ghost in their vanishing act. Either way, The Fuddiez continue to thrive in the space between legend and reality.
